Raspberries!
After my last update on the status of this site and blog, I figured I’d better post some Zoe updates. Sometimes I feel like we’d have to blog half a dozen times a day to keep up with all the ways she’s growing!
The biggest things lately include:
Rolling over
She rolled over once early on and hasn’t since then, but did it again this week. And she is constantly trying (including in her sleep, which unfortunately makes for some restless nights).
Raspberries
She has become MUCH more talkative lately, talking to us, her toys, her hands. And in between “sentences” she has been learning to blow raspberries. The other night, at bedtime, she had fallen asleep nursing. I picked her up to put her to bed and she woke up long enough to open one eye, look at me and blow a raspberry, then go back to sleep.
Hands
Zoe’s also getting much more agile with her hands… passing a toy back and forth between them, stealing glasses off of people’s faces, etc. A couple weeks ago, if she grabbed something, she was more likely to poke her eye out than bite on it, but things are much more likely to find their way to her mouth now.
Sitting
She’s certainly no pro yet, but she is sitting unassisted for decent amounts of time now.
Crawling, I’m sure, is just around the corner. I’ve seen her do a push up where only her hands and feet were touching the ground and she’s had her butt up in the air on her knees. As soon as those arms and legs start to coordinate together, we’re in trouble!
